i went swimming yesterday!

i always think i hate swimming in dirty lake water until i dive in. water just feels good through my hair and legs and arms…it makes me feel long and filmy. just my own little world under the water.

now all i want to do is go swimming.

wordle.net makes these word clouds for you…out of anything. even your tumblr blog! just copy and paste! plus, you can change the fonts, colors, edit the words, the shape of the cloud… i’m completely addicted.
my poetry professor showed us this today, because its also handy when you’re trying to write something and don’t want to repeat yourself too much.
this is a wordle cloud of an email i wrote joe a little bit ago, i like it.

I’ve been lost in these stories for the last two hours.

New York is a city of characters. On the subway and in its streets, from the intensity of Midtown to the intimacy of neighborhood blocks, is a 305-square-mile parade of people with something to say. This is a collection of a few of their passions and problems, relationships and routines, covations and obsessions. A new story will be added weekly. -nytimes
